SPOTLIGHT FEATURES

Retiring after 30 years of service to the commonwealth:  
Thomas A. Nardi, Senior Associate Director of Counseling Services in the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships at James Madison University has announced that he is retiring at the end of the fiscal year.    After completing his B.S. and M.Ed. at the University of Virginia, Tom was hired by United Airlines and worked in Personnel Administration for about 8 years.  Employment with the Commonwealth started in Richmond where he worked for the public school system as a teacher/counselor to emotionally disturbed boys.   His next move was in 1974 when he returned home to Harrisonburg and was hired by JMU.   Throughout his 29 career with JMU, he served as Placement Officer (Public Affairs Office), Assistant Director and then Director (Career Planning & Placement), Director of Scholarships (Scholarships), and most recently as Senior Associate Director of Counseling (Financial Aid and Scholarships).  If you wish to contact him, he can be reached at nardita@jmu.edu.
