ECMC, SCHEV and VASFAA Partner on
Opportunities
The 2004-2005 edition of Opportunities, a publication
targeting high school students with information regarding
postsecondary education, is now available. In previous years
ECMC and the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia
(SCHEV) have sponsored this publication. The new edition adds
another sponsor – the Virginia Association of Student Financial
Aid Administrators (VASFAA). ECMC, SCHEV and VASFAA collaborated
in November 2003 on another college access project – the
Awareness Summit (ECMC Update, December 2003).
The 2004-2005 Opportunities not only updates the information
contained in previous editions, but also adds new topics. New or
significantly changed sections include: How to choose the right
college; The components of college costs; Federal financial aid
programs; A sample award letter; Rights and responsibilities as
a college student. Copies of Opportunities may be ordered by
sending an e-mail to
opportunities@ecmc.org. Please include the number of books
wanted as well as a delivery address and contact telephone
number.
