VASFAA Committee Plans for 2007-08

VASFAA Secondary School Relations Workshops for Fall 2007

Thank you to the sixteen host colleges that generously volunteered their time and facilities for the Fall 2007 Guidance Counselor Workshops. What A Success!! The Fall 2007 Financial Aid Workshops kicked off with UVA on October 26th and concluded with Virginia Highlands Community College and John Tyler Community College on December 14th. Workshop hosts for Fall 2007 were:

  • University of Virginia, Charlottesville
  • Paul D. Camp Community College, Suffolk
  • Shenandoah University, Winchester
  • Mountain Empire Community College, Big Stone Gap
  • Bridgewater College, Bridgewater
  • ECPI, Virginia Beach
  • Virginia Tech, Blacksburg
  • Lynchburg College, Lynchburg
  • Averett University, Danville
  • Southwest Virginia Community College, Richlands
  • Wytheville Community College, Wytheville
  • George Mason University, Fairfax
  • Medical Careers Institute, Newport News
  • Norfolk State University, Norfolk
  • Virginia Highlands Community College, Abingdon
  • John Tyler Community College, Chester

In late September, 543 private, technical, and public high schools were mailed a VASFAA brochure and invited to attend one of the above host sites. Thanks again to the sixteen host sites for their dedication in ensuring that high school guidance counselors continue to be aware of financial aid processes and issues. Secondary School Relations:
