Candidate's Statement:
I am humbled by and very pleased to accept the nomination as a candidate for Representative-at-Large for the 2008-2009 VASFAA elections. I am eager to serve the Association in these challenging and changing times in the Financial Aid arena.

We’ve always heard that the only certainties are “death and taxes”, but I think we can add “change” to that list. The members of the board have already shown that the changes we are and will face will not cause the Association to lose sight of its purpose, which is promoting professional growth and serving the needs of families, students and institutions in achieving education goals. To that purpose, I dedicate my service to this fine organization. I am currently serving on both the Conference and the Support Staff Training Committees in an effort to help provide training in a reasonably affordable manner. I have previously served on the Public Relations and Conference committees and participated in other VASFAA sponsored events.

VASFAA will persevere because of the dedication to service by the wonderful members. I appreciate the opportunity to be part of this organization and to be associated with all the fine members who serve it and the organizations they represent. It would be my privilege to serve as Representative-at-Large.
