Beginning May 16th, 2008, on-line voting will commence. Members will also have an opportunity to vote at the conference in Newport News should you forget to go on-line beforehand. You will be sent an e-mail with voting instructions in early May. The Nominations and Elections committee has put together an excellent slate of candidates for you tomake a selection for each office. Candidate for Treasurer-Elect

Candidate's Statement:
I am truly humbled and honored to accept the nomination for Treasurer-Elect of VASFAA. This association has helped to mold me into the professional and person that I am today. When I look back at my first VASFAA in 2001, I can see how much I have grown and I owe much of that success and development to the people of the association and the profession.

I have been working professionally in the financial aid field since 2001 and have had the opportunity to work with many committees during my time as a member of VASFAA, such as Membership, Conference, and Training. Through volunteering, I have made lifelong friends and gained new insight into an ever-changing profession.

I know that we will be faced with many challenges in the years ahead, and I am ready to face them head on and with eyes wide open. I welcome the opportunity to serve VASFAA in this new capacity, and look forward to being much more involved in the association.
