Community Service Project

This year VASFAA is proud to offer you an opportunity to help our fellow schools and financial aid professionals in the MASFAA (Mississippi) and AASFAA (Alabama) Associations who suffered insurmountable devastation in the face of hurricane Katrina and Rita. All money raised will be divided equally between the Associations. MASFAA/AASFAA will determine who in their state needs the assistance the most.

In order to raise as much money as possible we decided there would be 2 ways you could contribute money to the Community Service Project. One way is VASFAA Members will have the opportunity to participate in a silent auction. If you would prefer, in the place of donating and or bidding for items during the silent auction, you will also be able to make cash or check donations to the MASFAA and/or AASFAA Associations.

In order for this event to be successful, we need your help with donating items to the auction. Items for the silent auction could include (but are not limited to) the following:

• Article autographed by a famous professional sports figure or entertainer
• Signed book by the author
• Airline tickets
• Overnight or weekend stay at a hotel/lodge
• Gymnasium membership
• Gift card from a trendy store, restaurant or catalogue
• Works of art such as: photographs, paintings, jewelry, ceramic items, crafts
• Ipod, digital camera, DVD player, MP3 player
• Tickets to a sports event or concert
