The theme for 2009-10 webinars will be: "VASFAA Housecalls: The Experts are In" Webinar topics will be hot buttons of change this year. The following webinar topics will be presented: Fall (November and December) GRANT TOPICS RE: CHANGING REGULATIONS 1) Return of Title IV and State Grants 2) Year 'Round Pell Spring (February, March and April) ELIGIBILITY AND LOAN TOPICS RE: CHANGES IN STUDENT ELIGIBILITY AND IN THE STUDENT LOAN PROGRAM 3) Professional Judgement 3) Loan Counseling for Responsible Borrowing 4) Default Management A tentative spring VASFAA Conference potential concurrent session pending approval of the Conference Training leaders is "Impact of Direct Lending on Schools". This topic may already be in the planning stages by another group. In that case Non-Conference Training would find a new topic. Committee chairs were charged with securing presenters and reporting back to the committee at the next regular meeting in October.
